Small – Med. Duffle bag (for extra clothing & toiletries that won’t fit into your day pack.)

Safety Equipment

Avalanche transceiver:  All guests must wear and know how to use an avalanche transceiver. Instruction will be provided on guided trips. We can arrange a rental if necessary.

Avalanche shovel: Everyone must carry a shovel at all times. We do not sell or rent these so you must either purchase or borrow one.

Avalanche probe: Everyone must have a probe.

Harness: All skiers must have their own harness + locking carabineers.

Rope:  Guides will provide ropes. If you are on a self-guided trip, please make sure that there are at least two ropes per group and appropriate crevasse rescue gear.

Rentals

Check your gear before coming to Golden. Boots must fit bindings, skins must fit skis etc. Please don’t buy new boots just for the trip! It is possible to rent gear in Golden but contact us ahead of time so we can make sure you will get the gear you need. Your ultimate enjoyment of your trip could be jeopardized if your gear is inappropriate or improperly fitted.
